Flat seams at the fingers do not cause pressure and unpleasant chafing. A soft, pressure-free welt keeps the sock in place during long hours of walking, preventing it from rolling up and chafing the lower leg. Additional cushioning in strategic places was provided by the use of a double-density lining - T2 .
